Little Bunny Blue...

I am simply delighted to be sharing this little boy bunny with you today, dear readers...

I have been wanting to create a boy version of my Miss Lettice Rabbits for quite some time now, and this week I had the lovely chance of doing so when I received a request for boy bunny from an Etsy customer!

What do you think of this adorable boy bunny?  Instead of making a frilly dress and pantaloons, I made him some simple dungarees with a cross-stitch heart ''patch'' on the one leg.
The bib is in coordinating blue fabric and boasts a sweet little pocket.  I did add a little blue anglaise at the bottom of each leg of the pants...just for some extra charm!  {{smiles}}

I hope to add a few more boy bunnies to my Etsy shoppe very soon...

Have a wonderful, creative week further, friends!

Meet this new and sweet Miss Lettice Rabbit…I am simply in love with her little frock and pantaloons!

I love pink and roses, and simply had to make her clothing out of some gorgeous new fabric in my collection…{{smiles}}

This Miss Lettice is in my stock of market items, but I am adding some other lovelies to my Etsy shoppe, so do be certain to stop by…perhaps you will find the perfect little gift for a special person!

Pretty Teeny Weeny Bunting...

Oh, one thing I dearly love about sewing is all the gorgeous fabric scraps that fill my scrap box on a regular basis!

I love sorting through all the pretty bits and pieces and selecting coordinating fabric remnants to use for a sweet teeny weeny bunting...

This adorable little bunting is very popular due to its small and unique size...
It is so cheerful....I love lining my shelves with the little flags or simply decorating a plain wall!

Ideal as indoor or outdoor decor, this pink teeny weeny bunting measures 1.5m in length, and features 20 tiny flags, each measuring approximately 5cm...

As with other heart❤made products, only 100% cotton fabric has been used for this teeny weeny bunting and has been lovingly handmade by me.
This pretty teeny weeny bunting is now available in our Etsy shop!

Have a blessed Tuesday, sweet friends!

The Christmas Reindeer...

It is time for me to introduce to you some of my very favourite fabric friends...
...Do meet the fabric reindeer that appear on the heart❤made stall from around this time of year till Christmas...

These sweet reindeer are string jointed and plastic pellets have been placed at the bottom of each leg to ensure the reindeer stand up...

Matching buttons, a sliver bell on a length of Baker's twine tied around the neck, felt antlers and a sweet embroidered nose give each reindeer much personality...black beads are used for the eyes...

Perfect as a gift for a friend or child, these reindeer would make a fantastic addition to Christmas home decor over the festive season or as a centrepiece for the Christmas table...

Each reindeer is about 11" in height and is lovingly handmade...
Each paw pad is sewn on by hand, and the utmost care and attention has been paid to detail...

As with other heart❤made products, only 100% quilting cotton has been used, and each reindeer features two beautiful designs in various colours and patterns for added detail...

I don't only work with traditional Christmassy colours, but enjoy using blues, pinks and other funky colours so as to cater for a whole range of tastes...

~
Stay 'posted' for more sweet reindeer coming soon...

Have a lovely, creative week!

This Week...at heart❤made

It feels as if spring is in the air, my friends!
These are just a few of the creative projects I am working on this week...smiles...

Felt antlers for my fabric reindeer {coming soon!} cut out and ready for me to stitch together...

Pretty new fabrics adorning my shelves...*happy sigh*...  Oh, I simply can't wait to use them!

Two sweet Miss Lettice in need of prettty pantaloons and frilly dresses...

 ~
I spent yesterday morning spring cleaning my little sewing corner...
I made a list of all the goodies I need to buy on my next trip to the quilting and scrapbook shops, gave away the bits and pieces I no longer need to more than obliging little sisters,
and finally began organising my patterns and templates ~ a project I have been wanting to tackle for quite a while...

~
Now I am ready for a busy and wonderfully creative season!
Do stop by again soon to 'meet' the fabric reindeer I hope to introduce to you sometime in the upcoming week...❤

Meet the Ellies...

Hello dear readers of Heartmade!
In case you are wondering, I was away for the month of April, hence my rather long absence from my sweet crafting spot...

Now that I have returned home, I have been quite busy creating new stock for the market and working with some new fabric I purchased recently!

I would love to show you one of my handmade items especially for babies/toddlers...

Meet the Ellie Softies...

These elephants are made from 100% cotton fabric and pure love...

I use coordinating fabrics for the body, ears and tail...

Each elephant is well sewn to ensure that no amount of handling from a baby or small child should cause them to break...

These sweet ellies would make ideal baby gifts and would bring cheer to any nursery....

The eyes are tiny black beads which I have taken care to sew on very securely...

These elephants measure about 7"...

I am looking forward to showing you a few of the other projects I have been working on this week!
...I am off to organise and pack my stock as it is market day tomorrow...

Have a wonderfully blessed Mother's Day weekend!

Blessings,
Kelly-Anne

Its A Girl Thing ~ Little Miss Handbags

I am one of those peculiar ladies who don't enjoy carrying a handbag around...
I find it tiresome - as if somebody is placing an extra burden on me as I step out the front door and make for the delights of town...
Perhaps I owe this dislike of carrying handbags to the fact that I am not able to properly hold onto a sweet little person's hand (and I would much rather grasp a chubby hand than a bag...).
Or because it is quite awkward to compare two rolls of lovely fabric and decide which one to purchase whilst clutching a bulky object containing my sadly empty purse (I always spend too much on sewing supplies, I confess...).

And how does one carry a camera and lenses as well as a bag...?

However, many ladies simply love their handbags and I am constantly amazed at some of the objects they withdraw from the interiors...
But often things get lost within the numurous contents of the bag - I have on occasion observed ladies shaking, emptying and scratching among the bits and pieces inside with a look of desperation on their faces...  Usually it is car keys they are after...

But I personally feel tiny handbags are simply gorgeous for little ladies who love to look just like their Mommies, yet are too small and inclined to play a running game at a moment's notice to carry the ones you sling over your shoulder and have to hold in place with your hand...

...Let me introduce you to....
The Little Miss Handbag!

Yes indeed - these handbags are the perfect size and style for any wee lady who longs to carry a beautiful bag just like her mommy, yet still needs to be free to be a little girl at the same time!

This handbag is small and just the right size for keeping a few treasures in...  It can be put over the neck or slung over the shoulder, depending on the wishes of its owner....

And it has a piece of Velcro to keep the bag closed so that no precious item should fall out during play.

And to make this handbag even more desirable, it is made in beautiful, 100% cotton fabrics!
The outside and inside fabrics are beautifully coordinated, and the front of the bag boasts a felt motif - either a flower, heart or butterfly, or whatever takes my fancy.

The motif is stitched onto the fabric with my lovely sewing machine, and I sew the matching button(s) on by hand to ensure it never comes off:)

Oh, I would dearly love a little bag like this - my sisters who have one look so comfortable wearing them...
But I still have my patchwork one which I must admit, I do quite like...  I can pop in all the bits of ribbons, buttons and fabrics I collect during my shopping trip and keep them safe:)

Hope you are having a fantastic week thus far!
